CHEPOS development teams are trying to help in dealing with the complex problems of environmental protection in the areas where CHEPOS has the necessary research, developmental and technical qualification, i.e.:
- Sewage disposal
- Drinking water treatment (production)
- Flue gas desulphurization and denitrification (FGD)
- Recycling plastic waste
- Vacuum pyrolysis: polypropylenes, polyethylenes, polystyrenes, PET plastics
From the wide range of sewage works CHEPOS offers and supplies industrial sewage works and sewage works for agriculture. In the drinking water treatment plants supplied by CHEPOS, ozone is used, instead of the formerly – and still now sometimes used halogenes (chlorine, fluorine).CHEPOS collaborates with the French company TRAILIGAZ COMPAGNIE GÉNÉRAL DE L'OZONE in the application of the ozonization process.
CHEPOS’s domain includes units for desulphurization and denitrification of smoke gases, particularly from coal-using power stations. In this area, CHEPOS collaborates with a German company NOELL KRC, the owner of a process called “the wet limestone method”. This process has been successfully applied in the USA, Germany and a number of other countries.
